"A Journey From Non-Traditional Adult Student To Ph.d Scientist"

<p>Natalie Rumball, PhD is an Erie native who earned a B.S. in biology from Gannon University where she used molecular biology techniques to study water quality issues such as algal blooms, beach contamination, and PPCP (Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Products) pollution in Lake Erie. She earned her PhD in Freshwater Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she developed novel techniques to assess beach pollution using the DNA sequencing technology.
