We continue to meet at the Erie Yacht Club. We are back upstairs! Meetings begin at 6:00 pm with a social hour and dinner, followed by our program/speaker.

Our Dinner Menu:
Our dinner will be a choice of two entrees: either Herb Encrusted Sirloin (Sliced)with Mushroom Madeira Sauce or Lemon Basil Grilled Shrimp Skewers, with Pear & Arugula Salad with Red Onion, Goat Cheese, Spiced Nuts & Honey White Balsamic Dressing, Oven Roasted Rosemary Potatoes, Roasted Broccoli, Cauliflower & Carrots, Strawberry Shortcake, and rolls and butter, tea and coffee

Our Guest Speaker:
Jerry Anderson, Artistic Director of the Erie Junior Philharmonic
Our guest speaker will be Jerry Anderson, Artistic Director of the Erie Junior Philharmonic. Jerry taught music at elementary, middle, and high school levels in the Millcreek Township School District for 35 years. He is a celebrated educator and mentor to may current music educators in our region. At McDowell High School, Mr. Anderson's orchestra students consistently placed in the PMEA All-State orchestra as well as the NAfME All-East and National Honors Orchestra. His professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, The Pennsylvania Music Educators and the Pennsylvania Federation of Contest Judges. He is also a member of the Gem City Concert Band. Mr. Anderson is a graduate of Mercyhurst College where he studied under Robert Dolwick and James DeSano. He lives in Millcreek with his wife Sharon. Sharon and his son Austin are both alumni of the Erie Junior Philharmonic.

<p>His topic will be The Erie Junior Philharmonic. The Erie Junior Philharmonic, created in 1947 by Fritz Mahler, is one of the oldest youth orchestras in the United States and has been a staple in the Erie community since. Graduates are now playing in orchestras across the country, including the New York Philharmonic, the Columbus Symphony, and even the Erie Philharmonic.Jerry will be accompanied by four members of the Junior Philharmonic who will play several selections</p>
